A Note on Eternity

The time is here. The place? Now.
As those prayed for shall be rendered from the prayer, allow your heart to govern my words.
Are you still there?
Good.
Desist from watching the skies, remote listener.
Because tonight the shivering stars may reflect poorly on our grandchildren. But this is not the way the world ended.
Patience revealed itself as the greatest enemy of truth. An unholy tool that only favored those who made us believe our expectations would be matched.
Someday. Somehow.
Priests frowned. Kings shrugged. Was this it? Were we doomed from square one? Who hides behind the helm, then? Who benefits after all?
We knelt before perennial disintegration, embracing a sempiternal relapse. No divine fortune, no mundane glory...
But it only took one of us to start remembering the future.
Here is where we stepped into our inner castle to find the gates ajar. Those gates were never meant to be opened… because nothing kept them shut.
We never grew old. We never died.
Listen…
TRUTH has no body but yours, remote listener.
No tongue, no ears, no hands, no feet on earth but yours,
As yours is the heart that espouses this forgone conclusion:
Don’t wait for any divine intervention. Patience is but a spell.
My beloved remote listener, believe me when I say eternity is here to stay. Life is not a rehearsal. So don’t ever rely on your grandchildren. They are not special.
Not until one of them wakes up in the middle of the night and starts wondering how shall one feel…
